Recorded in 2002 at Studio One by Alpha alumni and friends under the watchful eye of Sir Coxsone Dodd, "Upward & Onward" is only available to Patreon subscribers.
Only Patreon subscribers have been invited to download "Upward & Onward" with a $5/month subscription. As a listener-supported radio, we rely on you, our listeners, to keep the station moving forward. This year, Patreon subscribers have sponsored tuition for a deserving student at the Alpha School of Music and create a paid internship in which an Alpha students learned radio production (click for details). What better way to thank you, our listeners, then to share this piece of Alpha's history.
"Upward And Onward" is a song every Alpha student past and present knows. It connects the Alpha community everywhere with the celebration of the 'green and the gold', 'upward and onward we go' - the school colours.

Recorded at the legendary Studio One, the project brought together Alpha students past and present. The Bandmaster at the time, Sparrow Martin, is featured as well as the great Johnny Dizzy Moore on trumpet, an up and coming (at the time) Nicholas Laraque on saxophone and Nambo Robinson, a great friend of Alpha, on trombone.
